A Very Merry Youngsville Holiday

Just Around the Corner:

Shop early at the annual Youngsville Holiday Market on November 22nd from 11am to 4pm! With over sixty local vendors stationed on Main Street, guests are sure to check off the bulk of that holiday shopping list. Enjoy live music and seasonal treats while perusing quaint downtown businesses. Bring along your littlest shoppers as the kid-zone is always a hit for those who need a little more excitement while filling their bags. Note: In the event of inclement weather, the market will be rescheduled for December 6th following the holiday parade. 

Visit Hill Ridge Farms’ Festival of Lights from November 27th thru December 28th for a spectacular, sparkling display that includes over two million lights! Enjoy endless holiday-themed displays and a wagon ride, train ride, or both. 

Youngsville’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held on Friday, December 5th, in Luddy Park. Beginning at 5:30pm, this event will include local vendors, music, a fireworks show, and a very special HO-HO-holiday guest! 

The Youngsville Christmas Parade is a seasonal staple! Beautifully decorated floats, performances by local schools, and fire trucks galore all take to Main Street on Saturday, December 6th at 10:00am. The icing on the cake? A special appearance from Santa himself as he gears up for his favorite holiday. This parade is the longest-running Christmas parade in North Carolina so head to Main Street early as parking fills up quickly!

A Bit Further Out:

Wake Forest Holiday Artisans MarketThis year’s market will be held on December 6th, from 10am to 4pm in the plaza and parking lot of Wake Forest’s town hall, rain or shine. Featuring a variety of unique items, the market will have something for every budget. 

Rolesville Tree Lighting & Holiday Celebration: Just minutes from the Glenn Meadows neighborhood, Rolesville kicks off the season with a charming tree lighting complete with treats, kids’ crafts, and visits from Santa. It’s a great choice for families who want a shorter, more intimate event than those larger city celebrations. ??Head to Rolesville’s Redford Place Park, on December 8th, for a 5:00pm start. 

Wake Forest Snowball Dance: The Snowball Dance is a wonderful way to experience holiday fun for those with disabilities. Held December 12th at the Joyner Park Community Center, this Winter Wonderland will feature a DJ, dancing, and refreshments with chaperones available for those who need them. Registration is open now! Note: This event is for those age 10 or up.

 

Head to Raleigh for Big City Fun!

The Rink at Red Hat will welcome ice skaters from mid-November to mid-January. With a new Glide & Gather area, there is plenty of room to mingle during those breaks from skating. 

Illuminate Art Walk: Fayetteville Street shines from December 5th to January 6th with a wonderland of illuminated holiday decor! It’s the perfect place for a slow stroll with a hot chocolate or cider in hand. 

Holiday Shows: The Martin Marietta Center for Performing Arts will offer a variety of holiday shows in December, including Handel’s Messiah, A Christmas Carol, and The North Carolina Symphony, featuring Broadway star Mamie Paris.
